We love Mexican food at BreaknBred especially tacos. Usually we look into taco trucks because they usually have the best taco’s too me, but Torchy’s taco’s is one of the best tacos I’ve had in a long time. When I pulled in this place I knew they had to be good because the line was wrapped around the building and there was no parking what so ever which I can say is probably the only negative, but the food has to be good with a line that long! When I finally got inside the atmosphere was great! Nice size very comfortable and a place on the outside to dine as well. The prices are greatly reasonable especially with the quality of food you’ll be getting. They even have their own brand of sodas and juices, bottled beverages (my fav) and beer. The menu is ecstatic you have so many options, and so many different ways to get your taco (breakfast or dinner), the burrito’s are colossal,and the chips and salsa or chips and queso were perfect. Since there specialty is taco’s, I tried a number of different tacos not a fatty just a coinsure. The first thing I tried was the chicken fajita taco, this taco is dressed with tender juicy marinated grilled chicken breast with grilled onions and peppers, cheese and pico de gallo. A bonus is Torchys’ having their own different types of hot sauce so if you like more of tear jerker sauce or sissy sauce they have what you need. This taco was so delectable you might have to get more than one, I know I did. My favorite item on the menu is The Crossroads taco, this is a brisket taco and it’s extremely flavorsome, and with the right sauce its on and poppin’. This taco is filled with smoked beef brisket, grilled onions and jalapenos, cilantro, jack cheese, and a slice of avocado, just a divine taco. The burrito is enormous and very filling, with a choice of beef, chicken, pork or veggie you can build your burrito to your liking. In my opinion the Crossroads taco stole the show, but you may think different, go and find your favorite so you can be the judge. They have plenty of locations in Texas but the location in Houston is at 2411 South Shepherd Dr. It’s worth the ride trust me, and when you go tell them BreaknBred sent you. GO RIGHT NOW!!!!
