So I heard some hype about Jax grill on I-10 and N. Sheppard so BreaknBred had to check it out. I’ve never been there so I didn’t know what to expect. Surprisingly their menu had a vast variety of items to choose from. It’s a nice place to take the family, there are TV’s all around and a bar for adults. My wife enjoyed a southwest grill chicken salad and I got the Seafood Platter. Everything looked delectable but as you know looks sometimes can be deceiving. The fish was a sizable piece of catfish, but it was lacking flavor……it was extremely bland. My shrimp was astringent and fried way too long, not appetizing at all. I figured the fries would save me but they did not play the hero that day. Maybe I choose the wrong item but I was neither excited nor pleased. My wife said the salads are always good,very fresh, crisp and refrehing, but I was very discouraged. There is another location on South Rice and Bellaire, I was told it’s the best one to go to, so I’m not going to count them out just yet but the experience on N.Sheppard was not pleasing at all.
