The Waffle Bus

Searching for breakfast one morning, one of my good friends told me about The Waffle Bus. I was very intrigued when hearing about the waffle bus, so I decide to take a visit.

When I arrived I was very impressed with the bus there was a flat screen built in to keep the customers entertained while waiting for their food, and also a built in ice chest for customers’ refreshments. Soon as I read the menu, I saw the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle with the choice of Spicy Mayo or Ancho Chilli Honey and I knew that I had to try it, but this is not your average chicken and waffles.

It’s actually a sandwich, 2 waffles with a piece of fried chicken breast between the waffles with a drizzle of the sauce your choice. When u takes that first bite into sandwich you taste the fluffy syrup infused waffle. Then your mouth waters a bit when you dig deeper and taste the well seasoned, fresh and juicy chicken breast between the two waffles. The Spicy Mayo or Ancho Chilli Honey complements the chicken’s flavor pleasurably it gives that extra flavor that you might miss with the chicken.

The prices are very reasonable, but the only thing that was missing that could have shot this through the roof is if they had a little side cup of syrup for dipping purposes, I hope they take that suggestion into consideration. I really look forward to going back to try their waffle burger and chicken and waffle fryders. I know the rest of the menu will be spectacular from what I ate the first time.

Houston check out The Waffle Bus if you’re in the Westheimer area by the Buffalo Exchange or you can follow them on twitter @TheWaffleBus or at http://www.thewafflebus.com to find their location. Don’t forget tell them BreaknBred sent you.
