I couldn’t start off my blog without featuring a soul food restaurant, Cornbread & Collins Green’s. Cornbread & Collins Green’s has many options on the menu that will satisfy all your taste buds if you love a southern food home cooked meal.
I’m going to touch on a few dishes Cornbread & Collins Greens has to offer but the headliner is Zanna’z Famous Chicken & Waffle, each item on the menu is named after a family members cooking expertise. The waffle is thick and fluffy, you have the choice of Golden, Pecan, or Cinnamon accompanied by 4 juicy, succulent, seasoned just right chicken wings cooked to perfection and if you want to add some flavor slap some syrup on the chicken as well.
All the different features on the menu are cooked to perfection and have that southern taste just like Grandma use to make. I frequent this place a lot so I’ve tried just about everything on the menu here and I have not been disappointed yet. From catfish, pork chops, fried chicken and oxtails there are many things on the menu that can easily become favorites, and the side orders aren’t bad either especially the greens. One of my favorite things in the world is banana pudding and 8 of 10 places do not know what they are doing but Collin’s Greens has it down packed. No matter if I go in for breakfast or dinner I have to get some of their Na Na’s Banana Pudding and it is worth it every time.
